The artist

Born in Lima, Peru and surrounded with a big family of artists and musicians, Ursula Valdivia has been inspired in drawing and painting since she was a child. She developed her art training while studying at the school of arts at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP) and later graduating from Toulouse Lautrec Institute of communications and design.

For over 15 years, she has been creating portraits and illustrations for children’s books in watercolor, colored pencil, graphite, Oil on canvas and other mixed Medias.

Ursula has been married for nearly 12 years and is currently residing in Long Island, New York with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys living as a mom and working at home, creating art and custom portraits based on photographs taken by her or her clients and friends, which can be of babies, children, or pets. They can come in a wide variety of themes and subjects that make wonderful portrait gifts.
